One issue, if not the most important one, in the game is to get gold, and then some. If you want to have the coolest gear, level your professions fast (like from 1 to 300 in a day) and mach more, you will need gold.
Here are some short tips that will help you get started:
- Get your professions as soon as possible, and always get gathering professions in the beginning, except if you already have all the gold you need. This will give you an advantage over the average player in your level (up to level 40). The gathering professions are: skinning, mining and herbalist.
- Skinning is a must as a profession. You will get to skin many of the mobs you kill as you level up. You can skin others kills as well, and you don’t need to look for it. Use skinning to build your wealth.
- With mining and herbalist you need to seek out the nods and flowers but there are all over the place, and in low levels you get much less competition. You want to have your searching (or seeking) for them on all the time, so you can see it on your mini map. That is why you don’t want to get them together (mining and herbalist) – you will need to switch between them in the searching, or you will lose most of what you can find.
- After you save up like 10 gold, and you can do it before you are level 15, you want to hit the auction house. Buying low and selling high, but with fair prices.
