Harvest Festival is one of the WOW Event that start the WOW Events Season in September. You can enjoy this WOW holiday between 16 to the 22 of September this year.
Although this is not one of the big WOW Events like Brewfest (that is starting a few days after) the Harvest Festival have some things to offer to all WOW players.
What you can do at WOW Harvest Festival Event?
Celebrated by both the Horde and the Alliance, the Harvest Festival is a time to commemorate those who have sacrificed their lives to help their allies.
First of all you can do a quest for Honoring a Hero of your faction. The Alliance honors the memory of all the fallen, but most especially Uther Lightbringer. The Horde also remembers those who have fallen, with special emphasis on the memory of Grom Hellscream.
In this quest you will need to go over to the grave of your faction hero and leave atribute to at the memorial.

Uther's Tomb
To show their respect, members of the Alliance light a candle at the Tomb of Uther Lightbringer in the Western Plaguelands.

Hellscream Memorial
Members of the Horde show their respect to Grom Hellscream by leaving a bottle of spirits at the base of the Hellscream Memorial in Demon Fall Canyon in Ashenvale.
The rewards for completion the quest (additional to the Exp) is a book. This item have no real use!
The quest giver can be found outside Orgrimmar (Horde) and Ironforge (Alliance).
What Harvest Festival is good for?
But the big “thing” that Harvest Festival WOW Event is good for is the free Foods and Nectar you can get outside those cities (Orgrimmar and Ironforge).
As part of remembering the fallen heroes, feasts are held outside of Ironforge and Orgrimmar. Adventurers are invited to partake of the feasts and let the food strengthen them so that they may face whatever comes their way. The foods available at the Harvest Festival are:
- Harvest Boar
- Harvest Fish
- Harvest Fruit
- Harvest Nectar
The food (Boar, Fish and Fruit) will restor 2% of your health per second for 25 seconds. That is 50% health restor from the food. If you are a Hunter your pet will like you those as well…
The Nectar will restor 2% of your mana per second for 30 seconds. That is 60% mana restor from the Nectar.
You can get up to 20 of each of them, that is 80 consumable at any given time, and the best part is you can store those foods and Nectar, and use them at the future, as they work on % of health/mana they are good for any level, at any time!

The new way to power level your World of Warcraft characters is by instance leveling, which pretty much means all the old leveling guides are obsolete. Thankfully, there are now some good instance leveling guides available, like Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide. Let’s take a closer look at the major differences between traditional WoW leveling guides and the new instance leveling guide.
