One of the best things you can do is make sure you can get some help while you solo your way powerleveling in WOW.
You can do that by collectiong some of the many WOW Combat Pet or more correctly the items that summons them.
You can start at a very low level, and there are many items that will help you with this task, here is a short very list of items that are easy to obtain:

Of course there are many more, some will only work at defined zones, other are only good for one time…
Also you can make the Stone Statues that will heal you and the Target Dummies that will take aggro from you.
Other high level items that summons WOW Combat Pet like the Tiny Voodoo Mask or the Orb of the Blackwhelp, even the Commander’s Badge and many more…
