Honor Farming has always been a big part of WoW, but do you have what it takes to remain at the top?

With the release of WOTLK, the honor system has changed. The system did not change externally but the way top PVP players are farming for honor points has change extremely. If you will not change your honor farming methods you are going to be left behind.

Why go Strand of the Ancients for honor?

Alterac Valley was the essential battleground before WOTLK, but this as change. Strand of the Ancients is better for getting honor points because of:

1. You have time limit in SOTA. If a battleground will take you up to five or six hours, when both sides were evenly matched, now the maximum time you will be in the battleground is 30 minutes. You will have up to 3 runs in Strand of the Ancients, 10 minutes for a run.
2. You have only one objective in Strand of the Ancients – defend the keep or take the keep. If you fail, you lose. Many runs are only going to lest for as low as 3 minutes!

If you think about it, because of the sort time and lack of objectives, honor points are based on the kills you get. This forces players to get in to “PVP mode” and facing each other. In the end – more kills plus less objectives, in a shorter time periods, equal more honor points for you.
 
Strand of the Ancients did not revolution the honor point system, but it did change it. Now more than ever before honor farming in World of Warcraft is a bit easier and a lot more fun.
